Market Projections Looking Good For Orange County

There is good news for market growth expectations in the OC.

That's according to some industry heavy hitters who recently met up for Bisnow's Construction and Development: Major Projects Forum event at the Irvine Marriott.

TSA Contracting president Terry Arnett (pictured second from left) moderated the panel on future trends and market growth.

Guthrie Development CEO Robert Guthrie (far left) said the future looks bright for rent growth from his firm's standpoint. He has seen more than double-digit rent growth over the last couple of years.

Irvine Co SVP Jim Cottrell (far right) said the projected rent growth outlook is good, saying his company has healthy occupancy rates.

While it's different in various markets and with different product types, industrial will continue to realize rent growth, Bixby Land Co project manager Jeni Jackman said.

Retail is also changing, with e-commerce having a big impact on the industry as many industrial operators become involved in retail as a result.
