Not all industrial development action is near the ocean, even in SoCal. Stirling Capital Investments COO Brian Parno tells us the Foothill Ranch-based Stirling completed a 176k SF expansion at the Southern California Logistics Centre in Victorville to accommodate Newell Rubbermaid. "Not all product comes into the region via the ports, and many companies have a distribution strategy more regionally oriented than market specific, such as the Southwest US versus the LA basis," Brian says. For certain companies, being in the High Desert allows more efficient access to markets outside LA, while still being able to serve LA.
