Do the same to an employee (corporations are looking to shed office space to be more efficient) and employees might be down with that. “The good news is that employees want more open environments and tend to work at a number of different locations throughout the day instead of being tied to a single work station,” says Snyder Langston VP Jo-E Immel, immediate past president of CoreNet Global’s Southern California chapter. So work environments are built out to accommodate fewer cubicles, smaller office equipment, and more open, collaborative spaces, she tells us. “We’ve all learned to remain nimble to adjust more effectively to market shifts.” |
