Two of OC's most-accomplished commercial real estate brokers, Michael Hartel (pictured) and Joe Winkelmann, have joined Colliers International as EVP and SVP, respectively, Western Region president Martin Pupil announced last week.

Formerly a senior broker team at Voit Real Estate Services that consistently ranked among the firm’s top revenue producers, Hartel and Winkelmann will continue their partnership at Colliers. During their time at Voit, this team leased or sold 100M SF of industrial, office, Research & Development (R&D) and land for commercial development with a total valuation of more than $1B.

“With the addition of these two highly accomplished brokers, we have made a very public pronouncement to landlords and tenants alike, as well as to the development and investor communities, that we are doubling down on our commitment to grow our presence in Orange County and provide the most professional, responsive and knowledgeable brokerage services to our clientele,” Martin says.

Hartel and Winklemann are recognized market experts in a wide variety of categories, including tenant and landlord representation, lease contract evaluations, lease and sale negotiations, developer representation, tax-deferred 1031 exchanges, property valuations, build-to-suit services, automotive, building and site selection, market analysis, and land acquisition for commercial development, among others. They created a “small buildings for sale” program that has resulted in 17 finished projects and more than 500 buildings sold. Hartel has completed over 40 land sale transactions in south OC, totaling more than 120 acres sold valued at more than $200M.
