Microsoft is reportedly weighing opening a brick-and-mortar retail flagship in SoHo.

The tech giant is looking at 300 Lafayette St., Crain's New York Business reports, an under-construction building that is owned by Nightingale Properties and being developed by Related and LargaVista Cos.

No deal has been finalized, but once complete, the building will span 80K SF and reach seven stories. JLL is marketing the property for lease.

It will feature 30K SF of retail beneath 50K SF of office space. Microsoft would potentially open a retail store and lease some or all of the office space at the location, Crain's reports.

The city's retail market has been slumping for years now, but retailers and analysts say the operators who are offering a type of experience — Microsoft stores are similar to the tactile experience pioneered by Apple at its storefronts — are keeping afloat and actively doing leasing deals.
