| What the heck is in the jars Metro Fuel Oil Corp.'s Jerry Ragano and Paul DeSimon e show us? Soybeans and heating oil extracted from soybeans. Paul tells us it's pure bio-diesel, and is 10 cents fewer per gallon than regular heating oil with the NYS tax credit. And nothing is wasted—the bean leftovers are made into feed. They're also working on deriving oil from algae, which provides a larger yield and grows every 15 days. |
