YESTERDAY AT NYARM

Yesterday we also dropped by a NY Association of Realty Managers' lunch at Tavern on the Green, keynoted by ArgoCorp.'s Lynn Whiting, who was this year's recipient of NYARM's Director of Management of the Year Award. We could all use inspiration in this market, so she divulged her recipe for success.
Lynn, with NYARM president Greg Carlson of Carlson Realty, says:Take pride in the properties you manage; always conduct yourself with honesty, integrity, and humility; treat others with respect, courtesy, and understanding; always respond to people; and keep a sense of humor. Pump & Motor's Zaneta Williams, Gumley Haft's Larry Grunfeld, Altus Metal and Marble's Lina Gottesman, and Nu-Way Scientific Boilers' Allan Chezar. Allan tells us that he, Zaneta, and Lina were all there to sell themselves to the rest of the crowd, but mostly to gang up on Larry, who seemed to taking it in stride. Lina's looking for work with public agencies to benefit from the stimulus as a woman-owned business.
