Amazon may end up buying Vornado’s 7 West 34th St, where it signed a 17-year, 470k SF lease last fall. A deal memo says the company has clearance from the city to buy all or some of the building, where it’s setting up a distribution hub. Vornado would have to agree to sell, of course, and the NY Post says a spokesperson was mum on that possibility when asked, as was Amazon. The lease lets Amazon take more space on the ground and concourse levels of the building and three different five-year lease options that could extend the lease until 2047. [NYP]
