| This has been happening for years in ultra-luxury hotels—Vera Wang and Stubbs & Wootton at The Carlyle, and boutiques at The Plaza,The Palace, and New York Hilton. But now it’s increasing in somewhat less haute hotels, says Faith (right, whom we snapped in Vegas). Opening Ceremony has a shop located at the Ace Hotel. The Shop at The Standard carries objets d'art as well as the usual necessities. Bond No. 9 opened in the American Hotel in Sag Harbor. One of Cynthia Rowley's boutiques is in the Capri Hotel in Southampton, and The Doughnut Plant opened at the Chelsea Hotel. The hotel benefits not just from the rent but by bringing in non-guests who may then stay for a drink or meal. Want to hear more?
