At CoreNet NYC’s New Year party Thursday at the Mandarin Oriental, the chapter’s new president, American Express’ Pay Wu (left, whom we snapped with Cresa’s Kent Holliday and Prudential’s Kathy Winkler) told us the workplace no longer is about a furniture vendor providing a chair but about what the setting communicates about the company, especially to recruits. She intends for her organization to change the conversation among corporate leaders. She wants to help CoreNet members communicate with the C-suite, including how their proposals can raise revenue, boost the bottom line, and prompt productivity.
