PARTYING UP THE PLAID

Wait, didn't we already see CB's Paul Amrich and Patrice Hayden? They, along with colleague Elie Gross, proved we're not the only ones that attend events all day. The leasing team held an evening brokers party at 444 Madison, with big news: Burberry signed a retail lease for 1.6k-SF on each side of the building, on top of the 15-year, 68k-SF office and rooftop lease it signed last year. Last night marked the official lighting of the retailer's logo on the rooftop; Mayor Mike also got in the spirit, declaring May 28 Burberry Day in NYC.
CB's Charlie Lester and Chuck Redpath, flanking the Rizzo Group's Geraldine Diaz and Charles Rizzo, all part of 444's project management team. The building underwent a $25M capital improvement program after Westbrook Partners purchased the building two years ago, including a renovation and expansion of the lobby, a new glass facade on the first two floors, and upgraded A/C and power. Burberry took the space formerly home to New York magazine; currently, two 20k-SF blocks and smaller 2k SF blocks are available. The owner will also be pre-building some office space. (More photos)
