OVER THE LEASING HILL

Talk about being in a building for the long-haul! Law firm Barton, Barton & Plotkin just renewed its 12.2k-SF lease at SL Green’s 420 Lex, which many of you know as The Graybar Building—and the tenant has already been there for over half a century! The firm started in a single-room office, and has expanded and relocated multiple times. It’s not the building’s only deal of late: New York Life Insurance Co. just inked an 88k-SF 10-year renewal. SL Green’s Larry Swiger and Steve Durels respectively repped the landlord in the deals; Cushman & Wakefield’s Mitti Liebersohn repped NY Life.
