| We snapped the co-developers before they got their boots dirty: Taconic Investment Partners co-CEO Paul Pariser, Thor Equities CEO Joe Sitt, and Taconic co-CEO Charles Bendit. Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects’ Morris Adjmi, the project is targeting tech,media—or keeping with the neighborhood’s current spirit—fashion. “We’ve already got a list of interested parties,” says Paul, who confirmed he’s leaning toward a high-fashion retail tenant. |
| Everyone then strolled to the third floor at the Standard, where we snapped Joe with Thor EVP Melissa Gliatta overlooking the site. Later, Paul took us to a window looking south: “Right there,” he said, pointing to the soon-to-be $700M, 200k SF Whitney Museum set to open in 2015, “That is what will bring thousands of new people to the area.” (And thousands of confused Eli Whitney fans.) |
