Richard Anderson will be stepping down from his role as president of the New York Building Congress, after a 22-year stint with the trade group.
The NYBC, which advocates for development and construction, is in the midst of forming a committee to search for Anderson’s successor. When that time comes, Anderson will step down, but he will assume the title of president emeritus and will still work with the NYBC as a consultant.
Over the years, Anderson has been an advocate of strategic infrastructure investment, economic development and urban growth.
“It was a richly rewarding experience,” Anderson says of working with the NYBC, which represents “every facet of the city’s design, construction and real estate industry.”
