LAST NIGHT’S MANN FOUNDATION AWARDS

Last night, Bisnow was on hand with 700 executives from the real estate, apparel, and financial industries for the Fourth Annual Mann Foundation “Mann of the Year” Awards, held at 583 Park Avenue. (More honoree photos from last night).
Mann Foundation founder (and Mann Report publisher) Jeff Mann with Mann Publications’ Michelle Kubacki. Jeff and family began the foundation in memory of his parents, Marion and Irving, to help fund research for geriatric diseases and find a cure for Alzheimer’s through the Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center at Mount Sinai.
Woman (or should we say WoMann?) of the Year honoree Linda Cohn (center) of ESPN’s SportsCenter has had a tremendous 48 hours, she tells us. On top of receiving the night’s top recognition, the pioneer sportscaster was also inducted into the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame Monday night. With her are guests Erin McParland and Matt Voity.
The Donegar Group’s Abbey Donegar and Roseanne Cumella flank JJP Advisors’ John Pomerantz, who was honored with the Philanthropist award. John chairs the Educational Foundation for the Fashion Industries at FIT, and sits on the board of trustees for Citymeals-On-Wheels.
The entire Pomerantz family, including PBS Real Estate’s Laura Pomerantz, Glamour’s Andrea Pomerantz-Lustig, and Lazard Real Estate Partners’ Matthew Lustig, was on hand last night to cheer on John and Special New Yorker award winner Steve Siegel (right), global chairman of CB Richard Ellis.
Apparel real estate honoree David Winoker, president of Winoker Realty, with guest Wayne Smith, Smith & Krantz’s Jeremy Krantz, and Winoker’s Corey Abdo. David tells us that his firm has been busy on the leasing side, staying on top of renewals and working on pre-builts. It’s also been selling some office condos, including a recent 1.8k-SF sale to AJK Bureau of Consultants at 820 Second Ave.
The Rockefeller Group’s Bill Stoddard, commercial real estate expeditor honoree Brookbridge Consulting Services CEO Bob Silvestri, and Brookbridge’s Donna Silvestri and Barbara Malandro. Bob tells us he’s an avid golfer, but says his wife’s equestrian hobby is much more interesting. Donna loves to ride in Westchester and Putnam counties, as well as Florida, and hopes to ride in a pace this weekend.
