Happy Mother's Day, Joan

You'd call Metropole Realty Advisors CEO Robert Siegel a workaholic--if you didn't know his mom, Joan (we snapped them at Bisnow's NY Retail Summit). In the late '60s, Robert tells us, she was deciding among a third child, school, and work. Five years later, she was exclusive tenant rep for Burberry, among others. And she's still at it, having just secured space on Rodeo Drive for Burberry's to-be-built flagship. Together, they run Metropole's brokerage biz (Robert also handles acquisitions and development). The company that started out of Joan's house now spans the US and Canada.

And Happy belated Mother's Day to all you moms out there, including Bisnow NY reporter Amanda Metcalf's, whom we're assuming is the one responsible for Amanda's mixing of blue-stripe prints.
