At the MMA fight at the 69th Armory on Thursday, we snapped our hosts Kevin Lillis of The Plaza Hotel, Peter Auerbach of Wexford Capital, and Matt Schmeelk of National Land Tenure. Kevin tells us Q4 room rates are significantly higher, occupancy rates are stronger than in Q4 '12, and that almost all NYC hotel companies are exceeding their projections. Same improvement goes for F&B as New Yorkers go out more and more, hence a ton of new venues opening in the next six months.
