Former Cushman & Wakefield executive director Jamie Covello has left the firm for Avison Young.
She will retain her title and will rep both landlords and tenants, GlobeSt reports.
Covello was with Cushman for 33 years, representing office tenants like General Cologne Re, for whom she negotiated a 71k SF lease in 2001.
At Cushman, Covello was the sole national tenant rep for companies including Honeywell, Ernst & Young and Scott Paper Co. She indicated that over her time at Cushman, there had been a cultural shift, which was a part of the reason she left. Covello’s plan at Avison Young is to build a new brokerage team from scratch.
