CONTRACTORS HELP KIDS

We’re not the only one ringing in the season early—nearly 2,000 Long Island business leaders and supporters recently attended the seventh annual Contractors for Kids reception at Atlantis Long Island Aquarium & Exhibition Center in Riverhead, raising $300,000 to financially assist families struck by serious childhood illness. But unlike the traditional black tie events of previous years, this one was themed “The Best Damn Beach Party Ever” and provided some welcome cabin fever relief (in fact, penguin suits were prohibited this year... bring on the flip flops). The event included a dance party and reception. Recently, CFK assisted the family of a 10-year-old boy suffering from neuroblastoma and the family of an infant boy also suffering from the same malignant brain tumor, with travel and treatment costs.
