The Scene Bisnow went to a launch party Wednesday night at NPR HQ’s Studio One on North Capitol Street for XAPPmedia, which allows mobile listeners to “voice click” for audio ads, download apps, and get info or coupons, by speaking, hands free. Over 200 braved the rain to celebrate, sip cocktails, snack on hors d’oeuvres, and hear a short presentation by CEO Pat Higbie and Exec Board chair Frank Raines, who thanked all of the FOXes for coming out. They weren’t being sexist; FOX stands for Friend of XAPP.
