Vets: IT Career Fair Geared Toward You

Attention Veterans: The United States Patent and Trademark Office, part of the Department of Commerce, is hosting an Information Technology (IT) Career Fair to support its veteran hiring program. The event takes place on June 13 and 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. with career opportunities available in cybersecurity, data architecture, desktop support, software engineering and development, web development, and systems development and testing. With applications for patents and trademarks continuing to rise, the agency’s chief information officer, John Owens (pictured), and his team—36 percent of them veterans—have ambitious goals and know that veterans have the strong skills and dedication to help get the job done. Spread the word.
