Prince William County promised it would become the bioscience center of Virginia. It just got one step closer.
Prince William County economic development officials started talking about opening a bioscience accelerator with the area’s only wet lab space over a year ago. After a few delays, including one to redesign the space to allow for more flexibility, the accelerator will officially open next Wednesday. (This is either a pic of the lab, or the most immaculate employee kitchen we've ever seen.) The 9,000 square foot space at 9385 Discovery Blvd in Manassas has its first tenant—ISOThrive, a life sciences startup that moved in a few weeks ago. The county, which authorized up to $1.2M for the project, sees the accelerator as a catalyst for growing a life sciences cluster. It’s a stone's throw from GMU and two hospital networks.
