Austin-based developer Johnson Trube & Associates is moving forward with construction of the SKYLOFT, a Class-A, luxury student housing development, one block from the University of Texas at Austin campus. The project will stand 22 stories with four below-grade parking levels and 18 residential floors with 212 units.

Located at 507 West 23rd St, the tower will have views of the UT Tower and Downtown, and is within walking distance of restaurants, retail and other city amenities.

The project is being constructed as luxury student housing with high-end finishes and top-of-the-line amenities, featuring a rooftop pool and fitness center, 24-hour study lounges, media room and secure, underground parking.

A recent vote by the Austin City Council green-lighted the move of the historic Dabney-Horne home currently on the site, which is allowing the Johnson Trube development to move forward.

Johnson Trube & Associates plan to break ground in August with an opening scheduled for late July/early August 2018.
