Winter Weather Causes Multiple Roof Collapses

The freezing and thawing of water may be to blame for the partial collapse of 1529 Walnut St in Philadelphia this week, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer. A parapet wall toppled onto the neighboring Lululemon store at 1527 Walnut, and three people were injured. The weather also caused a roof collapse at the vacant East Hampton Bowl building on Long Island (which the East Hampton Star says was being marketed for lease), while an industrial building's roof at the Stiles & Heart Brickyard in Bridgewater, MA also gave way to heavy snow, reports CBS Boston.
