Real Estate Expert Barbara Corcoran Eyes Connecticut Island

Former Corcoran owner and star of ABC's Shark Tank Barbara Corcoran is looking to get in on her own 3.5-acre private island off the coast of Connecticut for a cool $11M. Connecticut broker Rick Higgins of Higgins Group Real Estate currently holds the listing, the New York Post says. Known as Tavern Island, the island comes with a 6,100 SF main house—where Marilyn Monroe is rumored to have partied—a Japanese tea house and a view of the Manhattan skyline. Corcoran is on a real estate spending spree, having recently purchased a $10M Manhattan duplex in April, an hour's drive from Tavern Island. [NYP]
