J.P. Morgan Asset Management is opening a brand-new position to ramp up and lead its US real estate investment entity, Real Estate Americas, a subdivision with over $54B in assets under management. The firm said Alexia Gottschalch—an ex-global head of capital markets at $48B Grosvenor Fund Management—will act as the head of business development and client strategy. Alexia will lead a team that will raise funds and advise clients on the company’s various real estate ventures. GShe says they'll focus on contribution plans for "endowments, sovereigns and insurance companies."
