Brooklyn Nets’ Charlie Mierswa and Jeffrey Gewirtz joined Arent Fox DC partner and sports group chair Rich Brand and NY bankruptcy and restructuring partner Rob Hirsh during Arent Fox’s annual celebration at Rock Center Café. Arent Fox (a Bisnowsponsor) serves as outside counsel for the Brooklyn Nets and Brooklyn Events Center (the entity responsible for the operation of the Barclays Center) on a wide array of matters.

The Metropolitan NY Chapter of the Appraisal Institute held its annual party and installation dinner at the Dream Downtown Hotel, where we snapped incoming 2013 president Eric Lewis of Cushman & Wakefield with Brown Harris Stevens’ Sharon Locatell, KTR Real Estate Advisors’ Theresa Nygard (2012 chapter prez), Brown Harris Stevens’ Alice Palmisano, and JDM Real Estate’s Joan Marlow, who received the chapter’s top honor, Person of the Year. (Which means it wasn't a clean sweep for Barack Obama.)
