Nothing says ?the holidays? in California like ice skating at the beach. (Except maybe sun-bathing at the beach.) Jamestown recently opened the Little Ice Rink at its Alameda South Shore Center retail property in Alameda, featuring performances by figure skaters Michael Chack and Ashley Clark. The 3,000 SF rink will be open through Jan. 21. Sponsors include Perforce Software Foundation, Executive Inn & Suites Embarcadero Cove, Bayside Hotel Oakland, and Bank of Alameda.
Not everyone at the rink?s grand opening was a pro; some folks needed a little help to stay upright.
