NEW GEN LEADERS: Forest City Ratner's Melissa Burch

We've launched a new series called "New Gen Leaders," which focuses on folks under 40 who've stepped into major positions in the industry. Starting in New York and soon expanding to other cities, we first profiled Melissa Burch, 37, EVP for commercial and residential development at Forest City Ratner. For Melissa, 2014 is off to a bang; by the second week of January, she’d been to China and back. And on quite a mission: In December, Forest City Ratner reached a definitive agreement for Chinese developer Greenland Holdings Group to make a 70% investment in Brooklyn, NY's $4.9B Atlantic Yards. There, we'll eventually see 15 towers, including the world's first high-rise modular apartment building, the 32-story B2 next to the Barclays Center. Learn how Melissa became involved by reading her story here.
