Nashville: One Crazy Market?

"The market is crazy right now, no doubt," SouthStar founder and CEO Glenn Wilson tells us. Come hear how it's blowing minds at our first-ever Nashville State of the Market event on July 19 at the Doubletree by Hilton, Downtown Nashville.

"We're hearing from lenders that they're getting a little more cautious on multifamily product as there's so much coming online, especially in the Downtown area," says Glenn (shown with his youngest daughter), who will be a speaker at our event. Even so, he adds, there's strong demand for office and residential product, which will continue to fuel growth. "The continued influx of young professionals into the Nashville market is also another catalyst for growth. If all that stays strong, we should be good for a while."

How long will it last? "I have no idea," says Glenn, "but there are signs that I've seen in other cycles. When non-real estate people start doing commercial real estate deals, it’s usually the sign the market is about to correct. I'm starting to see a little bit of that."
