Construction Begins For 2Nd & Pch Outdoor Shopping Center In Long Beach

CenterCal and city officials gathered last week to celebrate the groundbreaking for 2nd & PCH, a new two-story outdoor shopping center in Long Beach.

The $100M, 230K SF retail center at Second Street and Pacific Coast Highway sits across from Alamitos Bay and the Long Beach Marina. Last month, CenterCal razed the aging SeaPort Marina Hotel that stood on the property since 1963.

Whole Foods will anchor the shopping center. CenterCal officials said the center will also feature 50 tenants, including a fitness center, restaurants and traditional retail.

Officials expect 2nd & PCH to complete sometime in 2019.
