Thompson Hotels Coming To $500M Buffalo Bayou Mixed-Use

Thompson Hotel

Thompson Hotels plans to build Thompson Houston at DC Partners and Tianqing Real Estate Development's mixed-use development at the southeast corner of Allen Parkway and Gillette. Last June, DC Partners CEO Roberto Contreras told the Houston Business Journal the then-unbranded luxury hotel would have between 150 and 18 rooms with an expected delivery date around 2020.

Thompson operates hotels in NYC, Chicago, Seattle, Toronto, Nashville and Mexico. Dallas and San Antonio locations are also in the works as the firm enters Texas.

Plans for Thompson's future Houston mixed-use home are still in the works. DC Partners/Tianqing's unnamed project will feature 200k to 250k SF of Class-A office space and a residential tower. Gensler designed the overall master plan for the site. [HBJ]
