Bury+Partners managing principal Steve Eklund (the cool-looking guy in the middle), says that although the Bury Houston office he directs is among the firms smallest, its gaining momentum. Steve has been with Bury for over 14 years and was appointed managing principal of the Houston office in 2011.Past client design work was on transportation and port authority projects; the bulk of current work is in private land development. Multifamily design is leading the way with 10projects in design, including a 40-story high-rise at Weslayan and West Alabama. Bury is also on the team that is designing ahotel that will connect to the George R. Brown Convention Center. Its work at the Houston BP Campus includes infrastructure and data center projects.
