Breaking News: Silver Eagle Chooses Pasadena

We just learned that Silver Eagle (a Budweiser distributor) purchased 100 acres at Beltway 8 and Highway 225 in Pasadena for a major distribution facility.

Silver Eagle's Misty Cornelius tells us this will be the company's sixth branch in Texas; its HQ (pictured) will remain at I-10 and Washington. Timeline and exact size of the facility are TBD, but it will only use half of the site. City of Pasadena director of economic development Paul Davis says the site is in Pasadena's 10,000-acre industrial district. 3,500 acres remain, and the City is pushing hard for more manufacturing and distribution users. (Saving an acre or two for a fabulous disc golf course can't hurt, right?) In the last few months, Oxiteno purchased 63 acres for a chemical plant and Lummus Technology broke ground on a 100k SF manufacturing/office facility.
