NGKF's Texas Expansion Brings Home Manhattan Magnate

Newmark is ready to make a splash across Texas, and there’s a new face leading the expansion of its tenant rep business. Executive managing director Derek Myers, a Houston native, moved from NGKF’s New York office to spearhead growth in Houston, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio. The first order of business: bringing revenue per broker up within each office. Newmark made headlines by acquiring ARA last year, adding multifamily to its capital markets division. The two companies recently moved under the same roof in BLVD Place, but otherwise, Newmark’s been pretty quiet about its plans.

Derek’s excitement about being back in his native city is apparent. The best part? “Ease and quality of life.”
