| Lee & Associates prez Jim Wacht and Peter Braus (that's COO Joel Herskowitz standing in for Peter this morning, who's still upstate where he took shelter from the storm) have a proposal for their compatriots. The pair will match contributions (up to $5,000) from their brokers, employees, customers, and vendors to the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City. The company has also helped the people close to them, letting lawyer Adam Leitman Bailey and 10 employees work in L&A's office at Madison and 58th until the law firm's 120 Broadway building gets power back. Jim tells us the staffs shared lunch on Friday and went around the room talking about what they do. It's official: Sandy has made NYC go soft—in a good way. |
