Skanska USA’s Philadelphia office held its fifth annual Charity Challenge golf outing recently at the Lederach Golf Club in Harleysville. The yearly event benefits mostly healthcare causes, which this time included the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, the American Cancer Society, the ALS Association, and other organizations. To the victor go the spoils (who then turn the spoils over to a good cause). The winners of the Charity Challenge, I.D. Griffith, donated its $10,000 prize to Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children. Skanska is currently working on a 450k SF expansion of the hospital, which is slated for completion in mid-2014.
