Stellar Service Brands The Latest In-State Corporate Relocation To DFW

A Waco-based residential and commercial service company is moving its headquarters to Uptown Dallas.

Stellar Service Brands, the parent company of Restoration 1, bluefrog Plumbing + Drain, The Driveway Co. and Softroc, said in a news release the relocation will help with recruitment. The company also cited the Metroplex’s airports and recreational amenities as draws for its franchisees and vendors.

“We at Stellar Service Brands are committed to helping our franchise partners realize their American Dream by creating business ownership opportunities," CEO Sherry Rose said in a statement. "The decision to relocate our corporate headquarters is intended to position us to attract the best talent in order to meet the needs of each brand's growth."

DFW has gained a reputation for attracting out-of-state business in recent years, but a relatively small number of in-state moves have occurred. In late 2021, business process outsourcing business SupportNinja moved its headquarters from Austin to Dallas.

A company spokesperson told the Dallas Business Journal workforce demographics were a leading factor behind the move.

In 2021, 62 corporations relocated to Texas, and 29 of those moved to DFW, according to Y Texas. So far this year, 14 businesses have moved into the state.

Stellar Service Brands plans to have the majority of its employees in the 60K SF HQ at 2929 Carlisle St. in the fall.
