After 20 years of combined experience at Cushman & Wakefield and Cousins Properties, Mark Dickenson has joined Lincoln Property as an executive vice president. Dickenson has leased projects such as Galleria Office Towers, The Towers at Williams Square, Lincoln Centre, Victory Park and Cityplace Tower. We caught up with Dickenson to hear more about his new role.

Bisnow: What makes Lincoln Property a good fit for you?

Dickenson: Quality people and a very sharing, welcoming culture. Lincoln has also played a big part in Dallas’ incredible growth over the last 50 years and is still on a remarkable roll. I’m honored to have an opportunity to be a part of it. I really enjoy working with people and real estate companies that are creating long-term value.

Bisnow: What projects and deals will you begin working on first?

Dickenson: I’ll be focused on growing our Class-A office platform in Dallas with our core clients and also leading the existing leasing and management services.

Bisnow: On what office submarkets are you bullish?

Dickenson: I get to live and work in Uptown every day and am very bullish on the future of Dallas’ urban core. I also have a long history in Las Colinas and I’m excited about the new mixed-use, entertainment developments, [such as] Music Factory and Water Street, that are transforming that submarket. I also love the consistent, market-leading activity, in good times and bad, in the submarkets along Dallas North Tollway.

Bisnow: In what professional organizations are you active?

Dickenson: SIOR, NTCAR, Uptown Dallas Inc. and Downtown Dallas Inc.

Bisnow: What recently delivered or under construction office projects are you following closely?

Dickenson: Three Lincoln projects: The Star in Frisco, 1900 Pearl in the Arts District and Market Ross Place in the West End.

Bisnow: What’s missing in the Dallas office market?

Dickenson: I’d like to see more distinctive, signature office buildings with personality.

Bisnow: What has been your favorite deal of your career thus far?

Dickenson: Probably when TD Briggs and Joel [Pustmueller] at Peloton Commercial hired both my twin sons out of college in 2010, when no one in real estate was hiring. Thanks again. (They are shown above with the rest of the Dickenson family.)
