Hotel occupancy slows in the summer, especially for cities far from a beach, like Dallas. The Hilton Anatole has invested $20M into a new water park, JadeWaters, to get (and keep) vacationers and staycationers coming for the water works. Last October we showed you renderings, but with less than two weeks until opening, now we've got the real deal.
The three-acre park sits on the pre-existing seven-acre Sculpture Park on the I-35 side of the hotel. With a 4k SF leisure pool and a 7k SF activity pool, Anatole execs hopes this park caters to both families and couples or business travelers.
Anatole's hotel manager, Brett Krafft (pictured), will welcome the park's first visitors during its opening on July 22. The park will have a capacity of roughly 1,500 visitors with 443 lounge chairs.
Admission to the park will be for hotel guests only. For every king bed booked, guests will get two wristbands for admission, for every double bed booked, guests will get four wristbands. The resort will be open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, plus some nice weather weekends.
The young and adventurous park-goers can float in the lazy river, slide down two twisty slides, play ball at the basketball hoops in the activity pool or splash around in the kiddie areas. Adults can sip at the swim-up bar or get some sun on one of the lounge chairs or at the rentable cabanas.
Aquatic Development Group built the water park with the help of T&G Constructors for decks, garden structures and other landscaping and TBG Partners as designers. GFF designed the entry pavilion, leisure bar, cabanas, and the kitchen, bar, locker hybrid building.
