Healthcare Realty Trust Sold 6-Property Healthcare Portfolio Across 3 States

Healthcare Realty Trust sold six inpatient rehabilitation hospitals across three states and two transactions. Global Medical REIT and Carter Validus Mission Critical REIT purchased three hospitals each for a combined acquisition price of $138M. 

The 376 beds are spread across Austin, Dallas and Beaumont, Texas; Mechanicsburg and Altoona, Pennsylvania; and Mesa, Arizona.

JLL managing director Mindy Berman, executive vice presidents Daniel Turley and Steve Leathers, and vice president Brannan Knott repped Healthcare Realty Trust. 

The properties are post-acute rehab facilities with national operators near acute care hospitals, Berman said. The hospitals are operated by HealthSouth and Post Acute Medical.
