More than 80 TREC Young Guns gathered at the Salvation Army for the Together We Give event. MAPP Construction’s Caroline Hurley (center) chaired the event and tells us it’s very rewarding to give back to the Dallas community and spread holiday cheer with her peers in the spirit of giving.

UCR Dallas adopted four families from the Genesis Women’s Shelter, three families from The Family Place and three families from CASA to bring holiday cheer to 51 children and their parents. This is the fourth year that UCR has forgone its annual holiday party to donate and fulfill wish lists for families struggling this holiday season. Here’s UCR’s Morgan Parks, Paula Parks, Adam Howells, Eric Knous, Jace Hinderland, Greg McGahey and Karla Smith. UCR employees split into 10 teams and each team shopped and wrapped presents for each family. UCR managing partner Jean Smith tells us that it’s encouraging to see how this event has grown each year. The employees look forward to this event and many go above and beyond by donating on top of what UCR gives for each family, he tells us.
About 62 Corenet members volunteered at the North Texas Food Bank, packing more than 13,000 meals.

The North Texas Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders (a trade org repping the SBA lenders in North Texas that finance real estate deals) provided funding for more than 80 Salvation Army angels. The donations from members are matched by NTAGGL.

DFW Lee & Associates participated the Meals that Heal program at the Dallas Ronald McDonald House, which provides three home-cooked meals a day for families visiting the house. Volunteers from Lee & Associates prepped and served a hot breakfast for 40 to 60 guests. The Ronald McDonald House provides a temporary home for families whose children are receiving medical treatment for a serious illness or injury.
The folks from Greysteel (with a tired little helper) joined forces with ULI North Texas in The Salvation Army Angel Tree program. Greysteel's Anne Elizabeth Martin, John Marshall Doss, Boyan Radic (who celebrated his birthday yesterday) and his wife, Charlene and their daughter, Olivia, Andrew Mueller, Doug Banerjee, and his fiance, Aida Niayesh were among the volunteers at the Dallas gift warehouse packaging gift items for children in need.
