Denton’s Golden Triangle Mall continues its rebirth with the addition of two new dining options, The Weitzman Group CEO/chairman Herb Weitzman (far right, with TWG prez/COO Marshall Mills and recently retired chief investment officer Randy Woodruff at his retirement party) tells us. The biggest is for the 39k SF fast-casual Pollo Tropical pad site. TWG’s Blake Shipp and MGHerring Group’s Paul Burridge handled negotiations. The second is for a 4,000 SF Corner Bakery Café on a one-acre pad site at the northeast quadrant of I-35 and Loop 288 in front of the mall. Construction starts this spring with a Q4 targeted opening. Herb also tells us TWG/Cencor partners made a contribution (as part of Randy’s retirement celebration) to Teresaw Ministries, a foundation created by Randy and his wife, Teresa, to help Ugandan orphans.
