Halal Guys To Hit Chicago

Foodies can rejoice—a trip to the Big Apple will no longer be needed for famed falafel, rice and meat, and “secret” sauces from NYC Halal purveyors, Halal Guys. Chicago DNAinfo reports that in June, the eatery’s first Windy City location will open in the former Empire Restaurant space at 49 W Division St. The Gold Coast location will be the first of five planned brick-and-mortar Halal Guys’ outlets in the city, and all will be priced similarly to the NYC brick-and-mortar store, not the carts themselves. And night owls will be able to sate their after-hours appetites: as in New York, the Chicago restaurants will also be open late. [DNAinfo]
