Ackman Shaking Up McD’s?

Activist investor Bill Ackman hasn’t had a big stake in McDonald’s stock since ’07, but rumors of a second run and a REIT spinoff made the stock jump as much as 2.6% (to $90.75/share) in Tuesday trading, InvestorPlace reports. While REITs have their tax perks, it may not be the right Band-Aid for the global company’s flagging sales.
