Medline Industries build-out of its 530k SF corporate HQ at 3 Lakes Drive in Northfield is complete. Medline, a global medical supply manufacturer and distributor, is moving into the space formerly occupied by Kraft Heinz, which relocated to Aon Center downtown.

Medline and MB Real Estate selected Reed Construction to complete the project, which included an interior demolition and rebuild of the large existing space. The workspace areas include both open layouts and private offices, a large break area, a cafeteria, and various meeting and breakout rooms for employee use. Design features include a number of brand-centric displays, including a massive three-story millwork installation with a custom art piece and Medline signage.

More than half of the employees formerly located at One Medline Place in Mundelein made the move to the new headquarters. The former campus will remain open to support aspects of the business. Reed Construction's Jason Gunderson led the project team with Chris Ashman, Kari Hanson, Jay Crane and Michael Whited. Architectural services were provided by Partners by Design.
