KBS Realty Advisors' SVP Walter Foster told us last month that the firm is always in the market to buy and sell. Exhibit A: acquiring Dulles Station East I, a six-story office tower that serves as the icon of the 63-acre, mixed-use Dulles Station in HerndonVa. Completed in '08, Dulles Station East I (a NAIOP ”Best Suburban Office”) is a 187k SF office tower, located at the entrance to Dulles Station along the Dulles Toll Road. The site's proximity to a planned Metro station, combined with the design and high parking ratio, give the property a competitive edge, says KBS senior VP Stephen Evans. KBS-affiliated companies own five other Virginia properties in the greater DC area, totaling over 1.5M SF. And here we thought lighting a sparkler on July 4 was a good gift to DC.
