Charlotte Knights to be Office Developer?

The Charlotte Knights are planning to add seats to BB&T BallPark, new concessions, and a six-story office building just beyond the left-field wall. The development would build on the team's success at the new ballpark, which is drawing near-capacity crowds lately. As part of the team's lease of the park from the city, it has development rights behind the left-center-field wall, the Charlotte Business Journal reports. Previously, putting a hotel there had been under consideration. [CBJ]
