Lincoln Harris obtained the rezoning necessary to redevelop the former Charlotte Golf Links property in South Charlotte into the mixed-use Rea Farms. The new properties would include as much as 700k SF of office buildings and associated parking structures, 250k SF of retail, along with 500 units of multifamily, single-family houses and a school. Last year, the Rea family, which owns the property, tapped Lincoln Harris, as well as one of the original golf course developers, to evaluate their redevelopment options, the Charlotte Business Journal reports. Work is expected to get underway early next year. [CBJ]
