Crescent Communities To Develop Another Mixed-Use Property, This Time In Montford Park

Crescent Communities finalized plans for a mixed-use project in South Charlotte’s Montford Park neighborhood, Crescent Montford Park, which will be on the site of the former Pfeiffer University Charlotte campus. The property will include 337 apartments and 17K SF of retail space on Park Road, and will be near the city's planned 1.5-mile extension of the Cross Charlotte Trail.

“The Charlotte market continues to remain strong for new development," Crescent Communities Managing Director Michael Tubridy said.

Crescent has three other similar mixed-use developments underway in the Charlotte market, with 1,200 apartments and over 100K SF of retail all together: Crescent Stonewall Station, Crescent NoDa and Crescent Providence Farm.

Work on the new project will begin later this summer, with its first units available in early 2019. KTGY Architecture designed the development, which it calls "mid-century modern." Lat Purser & Associates' Mark Miller repped Crescent in the acquisition of the land for the development.
