Coke Trucking Subsidiary Expands In South Charlotte

Red Classic, the transportation, logistics and fleet maintenance subsidiary of Charlotte-based Coca-Cola Bottling Company Consolidated (Coke Consolidated), is adding 16k SF to its building at 1800 Continental Blvd in South Charlotte. The expansion will accommodate an additional 300 employees at the site, the Charlotte Business Journal reports.

Coke Consolidated is the nation’s largest independent Coca-Cola bottler, operating in 11 states, primarily in the Southeast. Red Classic operates trucks, fleet maintenance services and nationwide delivery services in 14 states. Beginning in 2017, the personnel needed at Red Classic will include those in corporate roles, as well as drivers and maintenance technicians.
